Jagoo.pk is a B2B multi-vendor marketplace owned and operated by B&R Technologies Pvt Ltd, a startup based in Lahore, Pakistan.

The co-founders reached out to the SkyQuest team to help them build an online platform through which they can directly connect local buyers with manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers across all the major cities in Pakistan.

Our final solution offers a 100% mobile compatible and a seamless b2b trade experience for the buyers along with feature-rich tools for the sellers.

Challenges

Being a bootstrapped eCommerce startup without a technical co-founder on board, the B&R team faced its biggest challenge when it came to researching and hiring a reliable eCommerce development company. The co-founders wanted to work with a team that truly understands b2b eCommerce at its core and could not only help build jagoo.pk platform but who could also provide long-term growth advisory and technical support throughout the journey.

Project Goals

After carefully reviewing all the project details, initial assessments, and discussions with the client, we identified the top 3 goals for this project which are described below:

Build a functioning B2B marketplace within 3 months

Develop a multi-vendor marketplace where sellers can create a profile, list their products at wholesale prices, and buyers can directly order the products or negotiate a custom quote with the seller.

Create a well-researched GTM strategy

Plan a go-to-market (GTM) strategy to help jagoo.pk educate local buyers and sellers to start using their platform for trading and to gain a competitive advantage in the b2b eCommerce space.

Getting a long-term partner ensuring growth

Perform post-release platform development and technical maintenance on a continuous basis. Train staff to manage the platform backend and share best practices to increase user engagement.

Our Solution

Considering the size of the project and the functional scope that the client wanted within a constrained timeframe, we offered to build a fully-functional minimum viable product (MVP) first within 3 months and collaboratively work with the Jagoo team to do a soft launch. The client wanted to get the platform designed and developed in the shortest possible time without compromising on the performance or features. So we had to select a technology stack that could support the project easily and for which local development resources were easily available. Therefore, the backend was built using the Laravel framework while the frontend was designed using a combination of Bootstrap and VueJS.
